The city of Santa Barbara has passed an ordinance that will allow restaurant employees to be punished with up to six months of jail time or a $1,000 fine for giving plastic straws to their customers.

The bill was passed unanimously last Tuesday, and covers bars, restaurants, and other food-service businesses. Establishments will still be allowed to hand out plastic stirrers, but only if customers request them.

Same city that allows illegals to vote and the homeless poop on the sidewalks.

What will they use to do drugs?
It's Komiefornia !!!

We need a "straw sanctuary city"
Just read where some cities in Kommiefornia are going to ban company cafeterias. Think they are unfair to restaurants.
It is referring to only the huge IT companies, such as Google, Intel, etc. These restaurants have been invited to set up shop right next to the free food they offer. Why would anyone pay for food when you can walk 15' away and get the same for free?
Saw this as the start of a news story about this.

In parts of California now, a person can go into a public park, shoot up heroin, throw the used syringe on the sidewalk, walk into the street and then poop in the highway — all without consequence. But the moment that person pulls out a plastic straw and places it into a cup of God knows what, he could go to jail.
Dana point California you can no longer smoke or vape in city limits. I'm a non smoker and think this is also retarded. How will people ever learn to think for themselves?
