Just got gas in Virginia and paid $3.79. We're driving a new Chevy Malibu. Pretty impressed with comfort, pick up and power, and I'm averaging 40 mpg.

But its a throwaway chevy, will probably break down.

Don't know where in Missouri you are headed but gas in Joplin is $2.99, gas is $3.25 in Blue Springs.

Ours jumped last night from 3.69 to 3.83

Came thru Joplin, Springfield, then North up to Jeff City....

Across Texas was the cheapest. Oklahoma sucks.
