Found this thing on a desert willow this morning. It's a Five Spotted Hawkmoth caterpillar, also called a tomato hornworm. The moths are neat because they're huge and fly like hummingbirds and drink nectar.

They ate all my 'maters. They get soaked in pool acid if they come over here.

I was sad to have to kill it because the moths are so fun to watch.
