Far better than a Tornado.
I lived through that, fortunately.
We lived in Ruskin Heights when the below happened.... It was HORRIBLE !
Part of our roof was lost, we were very lucky... two houses down from us were completely destroyed! The devastation was unbelievable, IFRC, it took nearly two years for the clean up, rebuild, repairs... as soon as our house was repaired we moved to Independence ! I was one month shy of nine years old, I still can remember the noise.

We have had a couple through here. Two weeks after the Joplin tornado we went down for a Dr. appt. All the landmarks and street signs were gone. I know Joplin very well but we had a hard time finding where we needed to go. I think the death toll was 163.
