In the last year, we were losing power for 8-10 hours on a weekly basis. This was during construction of a split vault, in order to separate us from the same power grid that goes to the Mount Baldy area. When it gets windy up there, they shut off our power to stop the forests from burning. Now that the grid has been separated, our power shut downs have been reduced to maybe once every 2 months.

I forgot to mention this guy was telling me not to waste my money on batteries, since they have not built any that are worth a shit, and real pricy.

No batteries here. UPS systems (Uninterruptible Power Systems, batteries) aren't that adaptive to residential. We use what we make and get credit for what goes back to them... it stores up real quick in the spring, fall and winter... covers the High use of AC in summer... winter is also mostly clear skies days, producing solar/electric power. There are two big roof pack units the set at 73-75 all the time and keeps the house nicely cool, having walls 12-14" thick also.

Power from the APS goes down maybe 3x a year for perhaps 4-8 minutes during a storm.

After 3 hours of insurance company screw ups, I got a flu shot. Thr girl giving me the shot asked if needles bother me. Uh,no. Over the last two months I have had my blood drawn 6 times and 3 IVs.

I also just came from the doc. Got my super flu shot, my pneumonia shot, got an Xray on a torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder, scheduled an MRI for my left shoulder, and made my colonoscopy appointment. I'm soon gunna feel like a virgin in a Frisco bath house.
