My alternator light comes on occasionally. I have checked, the battery is good (fully charged)
Even when the light is on, it is charging at 14, which is normal on these. Computer glitch? I reset the computer this morning and have not driven it since. Connections are all tight, no corrosion.

It is internal on these. No way to really check it. And it is still charging fine when the idiot light is on.

Is this a newer alternator or older? What car?

My skid steer did this but it ended up being that it had a Toyota alternator in and not a Caterpillar. They are the same alternator but something is a bit different inside

2006 Dodge Caravan. old alternator. Still does it after reset. Thinking might be a glitch in the ECM. It is charging normally even with the light on, Battery is staying fully charged according to my automotive voltmeter. Guess I will drive as-is. I have tow insurance. Been driving my 85 a lot anyway.

Well, it got figured out for me. It quit charging completely. Guess I will drive the old Ford until I can afford to buy an alternator.

Hey I think your alternator is going out.

My granny went out this morning in my 07 ram. This will be the 4th transmission for this truck
