"The California Assembly could soon require a transition to fully-electric vehicles in the state by the year 2040.

A new bill introduced by California Assembly member Phil Ting would prohibit the Department of Motor Vehicles from accepting registration for new vehicles unless they meet the state’s Zero Emission Vehicle standard. An exemption has been made for vehicles weighing over 10,000 pounds and certain vehicles brought in from out of state. However, the current bill does not allow for any other exemptions for collector or hobbyist vehicles.

Wonder how they are gonna handle making that much power? They already has issues with the grid. Maybe build more power plants to offset the cars? That will make sense

You will put your name into a lottery.
Each day they pick 100 names, and those people are allowed to charge their car that day.
See the real benefits the lack of traffic congestion.
With only 100 cars on the road per day, California will have the most unclogged roads of any state :)

    It's the perfect plan.
Everyone just stays home and grows weed.
Adidas shoe sales skyrocket because of the walking.
Despite the munchies from smoking pot people lose weight.
And so little traffic they can just turn off all the traffic lights saving enough power to charge those 100 cars per day.
Best plan California ever had lol
